With the the long awaited re-release of Majora’s Mask drawing closer, long time fans may be wondering how it compares to the original N64 release. As such, GameSpot has put together a little trailer that puts old and new right next to each other to simplify this process. Does the original version meet the expectations of memory? No, not really. Is the new version a notable improvement? Yes. Is the moon still a fear inducing nightmare that literraly looms over you throughout the entirety of your adventure? Absolutely. You may also be happy to know that Skull Kid is still a freaky oddity who’s laugh will haunt you. Isn’t Zelda fun? -30-

Hyrule Warriors – Tingle And Young Link Announced As New Character Additions

Why? Just…why? Ugh. So Nintendo, through their video presentation last night, have announced a whole bunch of new things for 2015 but none more disappointing than…Tingle appearing in the “Dynasty Warriors”-style action video game “Hyrule Warriors”. All of the news that came out of Nintendo Direct’s presentation last night has excited me beyond all belief but having to write about Tingle, the worlds most hated “Legend of Zelda” character, has really started to bum me out…Luckily I get the chance to also talk about the addition of Young Link who will also be making his way to “Hyrule Warriors” alongside a new Adventure Map thanks to a “Majora’s Mask”-themed DLC pack that is set for a release on the 5th of February! The new pack will be selling for $7.99 in North America so expect inflation or deflation depending on where in the world you are. This pack looks pretty cool as long as you totally disregard the forty year old fairy-wannabe and his uncomfortably “snug” leotard. Instead, give all the attention to Young Link; the …

The Legend Of Zelda: Majora’s Mask – Release Date Announced Alongside Special Edition 3DS

Here we go! What we’ve all been waiting for! A release date for the upcoming “The Legend Of Zelda: Majora’s Mask” Nintendo 3DS remake is finally here and what’s so surprising is that it’s going to be made available very soon! Clearly, this is one of the most anticipated Nintendo 3DS titles to be released in 2015 but now, after last night’s Nintendo Direct Presentation, fans of the series wanting to grab themselves a copy of the game wont be waiting too long for it because on the 13th of February this year the game is getting a release alongside a special edition New Nintendo 3DS. Isn’t that amazing!? We’re lead to believe that the date above is for both North America and Europe seeing as Nintendo never specified a difference in release dates so, far now, assume a simultaneous release. If there’s an update, you can expect to find it here. For now, check out the latest trailer for the game and start preparing to play the game that gave so many kids such …

Eiji Aonuma Comments on Majora’s Mask 3DS Development

With the hype train speeding down the Spirit Tracks onto its stop at Termina, series producer Eiji Aonuma has decided to add some fuel to the proverbial fire (I’ll stop with the train metaphors now, I promise). Posting on the Miiverse, Aomura revealed that the not-just-another-remake of Majora’s Mask has been in development since 2011. So props to them for keeping it under wraps for three or so years. But don’t take my word for it, take his word for it. By reading his words…I’ll stop now. Greetings to everyone in The Legend of Zelda community! Eiji Aonuma from Nintendo here. Since The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D was announced during the most recent Nintendo Direct, I’ve noticed that many of you have posted your thoughts in this community. Now, I’d like to say a few words for myself about Majora’s Mask 3D, which is planned for release next spring. The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D was actually in development almost immediately after we finished working on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of …

So by now you’ve all heard the news and are eagerly prepping your 3DS to handle one of the darker instalments in the Legend of Zelda franchise. Good ol’ Termina, that dying world of sadness, fear and time limits. A real holiday destination. That being said, you may notice a difference or two since the last time you visited, a visual upgrade if you will. Curious? I thought so, so too did the folks at ninten2tv who uploaded some handy comparison videos. So check out what 15 years can do. Such as making the moon even creepier than it was before… -30-

“The Legend Of Zelda: Majora’s Mask” Is Officially Coming To The Nintendo 3DS

Yes! It’s about damn time! For years and years, fans of the long-running video game series have been ranting and raving about just how great the darker addition to the “The Legend of Zelda” series, “Majora’s Mask”, truly is and finally we’ll be able to experience it in a whole new way seeing as it has now been officially announced to be heading to the Nintendo 3DS sometime in 2015. Nintendo of America announced this with but a tweet today and, well…my heart is racing. As a child, I was always too scared to play the “Legend Of Zelda” games. Hell, I could barely get through “Ocarina Of Time” so there was no chance I’d event think about trying to play “Majora’s Mask”. Now, though, I’m a twenty year old MAN with nerves of steel! This means I can play all the games I used to be scared of…but I can’t handle minor things like stale graphics, so I’ve never attempted to play a game like “Majora’s Mask”. Thanks to Nintendo I, and all my …
