The Twain Shall Meet – Final Fantasy XV TGS 2015 Trailer Revealed

One of the longest awaited Final Fantasy games in quite a while has reveived yet another trailer thanks to the Tokyo Game show of this, the year 2015. Now, whether you believe this game to be awaited due to its content or the delays that saw it jump from a member of the XIII franchise to its own shiny new number is neither hither nor thither, because we’re here to look at a pretty trailer. Graphics away! Rounding out as pretty brief in the ol’ length department, this cinematic trailer shows us glimpses of protagonist Noctis and a semi-imprisoned lady known as Luna. I say semi-imprisoned on account of her simply brushing aside one of the machine guns pointed at her head. Yeah, fully imprisoned people can’t just do that…it gets them shot. Anyway, a thematic flashback of fifteen years reveals that there may lie secrets in Noctis’ past relevant to the event of XV proper. They might not be, but it’d be pretty weird if they made a trailer for something that wasn’t important …

Fight as One – Tales of Zestiria English TGS 2015 Trailer Released

With the pedigree this game has behind it, and the information already circling the internet, I’m not going to spend too long discussing what Tales of Zestiria is. Broken down to its core elements, it’s a JRPG that takes from the Tales Of series, owing to its existence as a Tales Of title, and adds its own little combat tweak. This time around, said tweak just so happens to be combat fusion. Given the title of Shepherd, Zestiria protagonist Sorey possesses the ability to harness the powers of Seraphim. What this means for players is that Sorey can merge with spirits in order to unlock new forms and new powers. Far from spoileriffic, this trailer focuses almost solely on the comat potential of such forms, showing us why even a wyvern should be afraid of this particular band of heroes. Personally, I’m a fan of the fact that Sorey’s overall design changes when fused with a Seraphim, as opposed to merely his weapon changing. That being said, the weapons do look pretty nifty, especially those …

Steal The Night – Persona 5 Tokyo Game Show 2015 Trailer Released

It’s an unfortunate piece of news but Persona 5 will no longer be getting a 2015 release. Announced at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, ATLUS have revealed that they have decided to delay the game’s release until the Summer of 2016 but, chances are, we’ll see another shift before that time anyway. Director Katsura Hashino stated that the game is almost at full completion but there are certain elements the team would like to tweak and change before it’s full release, just to make sure the fans are happy with the quality level of the new title considering just how anticipated a game it is. To make things a little better, though, ATLUS has taken the chance to use Tokyo Game Show 2015 as more than just a platform to deliver bad news: Being released alongside information of the game’s delay is it’s third trailer which actually shows much more of the upcoming game than what we’ve seen in the past and, in fact, than what we expected. To accompany the new trailer, ATLUS also …

Upper-Class Fighter – Karin Kanzuki Joins The Roster Of Street Fighter V

Tokyo Game Show 2015 has just begun and, in standard open ceremony-style celebration, Capcom have already revealed another character for their upcoming PlayStation 4 and PC exclusive Street Fighter V. To add to the other fighters who’re making a return to the Street Fighter franchise after falling into obscurity after Street Fighter Alpha 3, Karin Kanzuki has just been announced as the latest character to be added to the Street Fighter V roster. Like the rest of the cast, she’s earned herself a visual upgrade, both costume and graphics-wise, so looking at her duke it out with the other new members of the Street Fighter crew will be even sweeter! Alongside the announcement itself comes a trailer featuring the classy girl in all her fancy action, kicking the ever-living crap out of new character Rashid, which we have provided for you just below. Street Fighter V is set for a 2016 release across the world for, once again, the PlayStation 4 and PC. -30-

Capcom Announces Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Anime Adaptation

It’s the Anime adaptation we’ve all been waiting for. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is a series of video games with more titles than you could point at stick at, and enough fans across the world to have kept it alive and well for many years, with no end in sight. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is so popular that it’s pop culture reach spreads across many mediums: From Manga to live-action film, the Ace Attorney franchise has it’s hands in it all, except for Anime, oddly enough. That is…until today! Capcom have announced that they are currently producing an Anime series based upon the long-running video game series which is to air across Japan in April of 2016. Judging from the image of the announcement panel from Tokyo Game Show 2015, it looks as though the Anime will cover, at least, the very first Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney video game. Hopes are that the Anime continues long after the events of the first game, covering everything up to date…but that may be a little TOO hopeful. …

It wasn’t actually too long ago that Capcom announced Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney 6 and already we’re getting the upcoming game’s very first trailer. Thus is the power of Tokyo Game Show. A fairly sizeable length, the new trailer shows off everything new the upcoming game has to offer. From the unfamiliar characters to the updated courtroom mechanics, everything in this trailer is hugely exciting, especially if you’re a fan of the long-running series. Stand Together and Fight – JJBA: Eyes of Heaven Tokyo Game Show 2015 Trailer Released

Stand up and be proud fellow JoJo Bizarre Adventurers because the series that spirals ever further down the rabbit hole of insanity is bringing out yet another opportunity for you to take up the mantle of these crazy characters…and beat each other into the ground with them. Heading to the PS3 and PS4, Eyes of Heaven throws you headfirst into battle bot canon and non, as you choose between familiar faces from any number o parts from the JoJo mythos. Max eight…there’s only eight parts. Fan of Jonathan Joestar? Throw down some Sunlight Yellow Overdrives. More of a Caesar fan? Pop some villainous bubble with your own more painful heroic bubbles. Fancy yourself a Speedwagon supporter? Why? I guess he’s got a hammer…and eventually wealth…I think he stole Will’s hat though, that was weird. Oh well, to each their combative own. Not much else to say on the subject really. Gameplay got shown, which is always a nice touch for convention trailers. There appears to be more of a connection between the fighters, with a …

It’s A Dog Beat Dog World – Killing Bites Tokyo Game Show 2015 Trailer Released

With Tokyo Game Show 2015 well underway, you would not be faulted for expecting a few trailers to see a release. I especially won’t fault you considering that a new trailer is exactly what I am here to talk about. This time around, say hello to Killing Bites. From what was shown, the game centres around some lovely hybrid ladies, who bring some animalistic elements to some kind of fight. Though I’m not exactly sure if they’re fighting each other, or the more complete bestial characters that also exist (such as the wolf seen in the trailer), you can be damn sure that they’ll fight…in one way or another. Ok, so this was one of those cinematic trailers that introduced the idea of a game without actually showing the content. But, popular or not, it is a style of advertisement that has become commonplace in the video game industry. But I digress, at the very least, Killing Bites looks interesting enough to warrant looking a gameplay trailer, whenever it releases. So…that all sounded pretty negative …

Digimon World: Next Order – Tokyo Game Show 2015 Trailer

Tokyo Game Show 2015 has only just begun, but it has done so in quite an explosive way. Japanese pop culture fans know TGS as one of the better video game expos of our generation and there’s a huge reason why; some of the most exciting stuff comes out of it, including the latest trailer for Bandai Namco Entertainment’s upcoming PlayStation Vita title Digimon World: Next Order, stylised as “Next -0rder-“. Running just a little over two minutes long, the trailer showcases what it will be like playing as both the male and female protagonists, with the male having Agumon and Gabumon as his digital companions, and the female having Biyomon and Palmon. The trailer also gives audiences an extensive look at the world of Next Order with some nice throwbacks to the original Digimon World PlayStation 1 title. Set for a Japanese release on the PlayStation Vita sometime in 2016, nothing has been said by Bandai Namco Entertainment regarding a Western release; something that may actually never come. Either way, we have a fantastic …
