Siren Visual license Nodame Cantabile

Huge news has come in from Australian anime distributor Siren Visual. Continuing their storied history of releasing the very best of the noitaminA anime block, Siren Visual have took aim for one of the most critically acclaimed anime series ever to air on the block, the modern classic that is Nodame Cantabile. Nodame Cantabile is set in a college music conservatorium and follows a neurotic classical musician by the name of Chiaki. Chiaki feels trapped by his own neurosis and fears until Nodame, a young pianist, comes into his life and changes everything. The series is touted for its mature story-telling and inspirational messages about life, love and the music in between. Siren Visual license RahXephon and Nadia: Secret of Blue Water

Through their official Facebook page, Siren Visual have confirmed the acquisition of two anime classics, RahXephon and Nadia: Secret of Blue Water. RahXephon, a series which has been out of print for quite some time will be getting a brand new release from Siren Visual with the complete series being collectively released across 7 DVDs in January 2015. The series focuses on the conflict between humanity and an alien race known as Mu. RahXephon is touted as a mecha anime epic and a must watch for fans of the legendary Studio BONES. Nadia: Secret of Blue Water is one of most critically acclaimed anime series of all time to never see the light of day on Australian shores, until now that is. The series comes from the famed anime director Hideaki Anno and was in fact one of his earliest anime works, even preceding his biggest hit Neon Genesis Evangelion.
