Persona 4: Dancing All Night – Review

When Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 first landed on the PlayStation 2 back in 2008, no one could have predicted the mainstream success that the IP still enjoys to this day. Shin Megami Tensai: Persona 4 was an entry in a spin-off franchise, but at this point Persona 4 has become its own brand and franchise, far removed from its Shin Megami Tensei parent. Prior to the mainstream appeal of Persona 4, the series was always something of an acquired taste. Starting with two incredibly challenging entries on the PlayStation (PSOne), the series would make a comeback after a major hiatus in the form of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3. That title was a breath of fresh air at the time, and for Western gamers who had grown tired of Final Fantasy, they couldn’t have asked for a more alternative Japanese RPG. It didn’t take long for Persona 4 to arrive after, and at first it enjoyed the same niche word of mouth success like its predecessors. For numerous reasons, however, the success of Persona 4 suddenly skyrocketed and …

Time to Hit the Midnight Stage – Persona 4: Dancing All Night Announced for ANZ

It’s time to dust of those dancing shoes gamers of the ANZ because Persona 4 is bringing a noticeably more musical iteration to the region. Ok, so maybe you don’t actually have to dust off your dancing shoes (props to you if you have a pair by the way), but the imagery is better than pressing buttons. But I digress. If you haven’t heard of Persona 4: Dancing All Night by now, or the swirl of positive and negative attitudes that surround it, then the news that the Investigation Team will be taking to the dance floor may come as a shock to you. But, regardless of your initial reaction, said news is indeed fact and it’s coming to Australia and New Zealand. Based once again in the beloved world of Persona 4, this particular instalment robs our heroes of their trademark Persona abilities. On top of that, the Shadows are still rampant in the world of the television…and they aren’t happy. Though to be honest they never are. Anywho, in place of their more …

Steal Back The Future – Persona 5 Official Second Trailer Leaked

You know about Persona 4: Dancing All Night don’t you? It’s the spin-off PlayStation Vita title that has you, the main cast of Persona 4, dance your way through the world of the Shadows for reasons mostly unknown to everyone but ATLUS themselves. Well the rhythm title was released over in Japan only recently and with first run copies came an extra DVD that happened to feature the second official trailer for the more exciting upcoming ATLUS title Persona 5. Some grand citizen of this world ripped the trailer from the disc and placed on the fantastic tool we call the internet for us all to see before ATLUS could release it themselves. Naughty, naughty! The second trailer features mostly the same footage as the first but you’ll catch some pretty awesome updates that show what looo to be regular humans transforming into Shadows and a pair of characters that may just take the place of Margaret who tool care of all your Velvet Room needs back in Persona 4. No matter what the damn …

Rhythm Goes Poolside – Persona 4: Dancing All Night Swimsuit DLC Announced

Ah, Persona 4. The instalment in the franchise that the world loves and that Atlus loves making content for. As such, the announcement that the Inaba Investigation Team would be hitting the dance floor was met with equal parts scepticism and acceptance…ok, maybe a touch more of the former than the latter. But whatever your thoughts, it’s happening, I’m not here to debate that. What I am here to do is tell you that a DLC set has been announced as a free bonus for all those Japanese gamers who purchase first-print copies of the game. Now, whilst this may sound a touch too international for your liking, these bonus features tend to make their way across the sea, as does the game proper. Anyway, this particular DLC set features an additional costume for Chie, Rise, Naoto and Yukiko; swimsuits. That’s pretty much it. Though it’s not that surprising given that Dancing All Night will have you watching the P4 cast break it down in the disco (that’s what the kids call it right?). Fashion is …
