It was nearly 15 years ago when Microsoft entered the console wars with its Xbox console, and 15 years later it currently stands in a pretty sweet position with the Xbox One console. During that time we saw the hugely successful Xbox 360 system and next year we can look forward to the Xbox Scorpio. A lot has happened in the last 15 years, but what has always remained consistent is the Xbox’s poor commercial performance in Japan. For numerous reasons the Xbox brand just doesn’t garner the same interest from Japanese gamers, and has consistently to this day remained the poorest seller in the land of the rising sun. Oh I absolutely love when things like this happen. True or false, fact or fiction, real or otherwise, I simply love when a big company like Microsoft fumbles just a little bit and releases certain pieces of information early. It’s happened once again; this time the upcoming Bandai Namco Games title Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 has gotten it’s release date leaked early by Microsoft who have made the game available to pre-order online. Hitting up the Microsoft Store and going for a bit of a wander trying to find the game will eventually bring you to a page that’ll tell you all the usual stuff; price, console, rating and, event though it hasn’t been officially announced…the release date. Yes indeed, it seems as though the Microsoft Store has provided the pop culture world with a little too much information, and it comes in the form of an unofficial release date.
