It’s Time to Battle – Medabots 9 Teaser Revealed

Ok, first things first, this is 100% a Japanese 3DS game, as in to be released in Japan. So keep your hopes where they are Western audiences. But, as the internet has taught us, we are more than welcome to appreciate something we may never necessarily have. So I decided to write about this announcement as more of a legacy to the series that once held a place in the Western canon of childhood. The future is here, Medababy! Have ever wanted to have your own robot friend that you could care for, customise, polish up and then send into battle against other possibly-deadly robots? I know I have! The next in the series’ line of video games, ‘Medabots 8’ is about to be released in Japan to one heck of an amazing critical reception. Even though the franchise has died off over here in the West, it is still going strong in Japan with a massive fanbase that just keeps demanding more games. Two new gameplay videos were just released and both focus entirely on the battle system of the new pair of games that are quite reminiscent of previous ‘Medabots’ titles but with little tweaks and changes to make the combat mechanics smoother and more enjoyable. The Bots Are Back In This New Trailer For ‘Medabots 8’

Think back to your childhood. What do you remember? ‘Dragon Ball Z’. ‘Digimon’. ‘Pokemon’. What about ‘Medabots’? Is that ringing a bell? It should! it was one of the very best series’ of the late 90s and early 20s and it’s a video game series that is still running in Japan to this very day. In fact, a new game is about to be released and we’ve just been given a brand-new trailer for it. How awesome is that? I’m hoping you, reader, are just as excited as I am about this. I’m almost going nuclear just thinking about the prospect of a new ‘Medabots’ video game coming to the West, though…that has yet to be announced so don’t get TOO excited.
