DmC: Devil May Cry & Devil May Cry 4 Set for PS4/XBox One Release

Bringin’ the pain in style

Get ready to dust off your revolvers and bust out the style because everybody’s favourite red cloaked demon slayer is back in action…kinda. Well, it’s action you’ve seen before but at 60 frames-per-second in 1080p…so it’s better.

That’s right folks both DmC: Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 4 are headed to the next/current generation of home consoles in what are being respectively labelled Definitive and Special Editions. As one might expect from the use of the word definitive, the new release DmC will feature all previous DLC, along with a few additional extras. So trade in red for blue and delve into Vergil’s Bloody Palace Mode, switching up protagonists and carrying on the story of Dante’s twin brother. Those who feel like challenging themselves, or those who just enjoy a masochistic gameplay experience, can check out the Gods Must Die difficulty, Must Style Mode and Hardcore Mode, which is set to play more like classic Devil May Cry games. Which blends nicely with the newly available classic costumes for the twin brothers. Capcom has also announced that some improvements have been made based on fan feedback, namely selectable modifiers that can alter gameplay, such as a Turbo Mode which up the speed of play.

So there you have it, Devil May Cry’s biggest visual shift gets a sweet visual upgrade. Said title is set to release in March 2015, whilst Devil May Cry 4 will hit shelves later in the year.
