Siren Visual license RahXephon and Nadia: Secret of Blue Water

Through their official Facebook page, Siren Visual have confirmed the acquisition of two anime classics, RahXephon and Nadia: Secret of Blue Water.

RahXephon, a series which has been out of print for quite some time will be getting a brand new release from Siren Visual with the complete series being collectively released across 7 DVDs in January 2015. The series focuses on the conflict between humanity and an alien race known as Mu. RahXephon is touted as a mecha anime epic and a must watch for fans of the legendary Studio BONES.

Nadia: Secret of Blue Water is one of most critically acclaimed anime series of all time to never see the light of day on Australian shores, until now that is. The series comes from the famed anime director Hideaki Anno and was in fact one of his earliest anime works, even preceding his biggest hit Neon Genesis Evangelion. Nadia is inspired by the novel 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne and was animated the good old fashioned way by GAINAX way back in 1990. Siren will be releasing the series across 8 DVDs in January 2015. Worth noting is that Siren Visual are considering a Blu-Ray release for the series, but as of now there are no promises on that front.
