No you didn’t hear wrong Pokefans, the beloved franchise has recently revealed that a musical tour is just around the corner, entitled Pokemon: Symphonic Evolution. Fancy. Now you may ask yourself “How are they going to produce such an event using the tunes I’ve heard for oh so many years?” Well my friend the answer is simple: Orchestra. Bringing together the same key producers who handled the similarly themed Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses tour, along with a number of talented musicians, the performance promises to recreate classic sounds from a number of Pokemon titles. Including, but not limited to: Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Black, White, X and Y. Being that said list comprises of all main stream titles, mayhaps the tunes of a spin-off may enter the repetoire.
The orchestral tour is set to premiere at the Warner Theater in Washington DC on August 15th, just a touch before the 2014 Pokémon World Championships. It’s a veritable Pokefrenzy. The tour will also head to the Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia for a September 19th soiree. So if you’re in the area and wish to witness Pokemon and symphony collide in a wonderous event, you’d best visit the official site for details. I’ll even put the link right here. Aren’t I a sweetheart?
