Nintendo Announces The Next Wave Of Amiibo Intractable Figures

Last night the first Nintendo Direct presentation of the year aired and with it came some fantastic news that has indicated to as all that 2015 may truly be another ripper of a year for Nintendo. Not that anyone truly thought differently. The Amiibo craze has picked up heavily around the world with most, if not all, players of the new “Super Smash Bro.” literally sprinting out of their houses to grab themselves a figure of their favorite character.

Too bad Nintendo has chosen to spot production on certain characters which has now made them extremely hard to find. Heading down to the local store the only characters purchasable now are Mario and Luigi so as soon as you read the news I’m about to type, I suggest you begin making preparations for how you’re going to grab yourself the figures from this new batch. You’re not going to want to miss out.

Hitting shelves on April the 24th in Europe and Japan on April the 29th is the next wave of Amiibo figures which will feature the following characters from the new “Super Smash Bros.” game: Lucina (Fire Emblem: Awakening), Pac-Man, Ness (Earthbound), Robin (Fire Emblem: Awakening), Charizard (Pokemon) and Wario. North America, though no specific release date as of yet, WILL be getting this wave during the Spring sometime.

Something else Amiibo-related was also revealed through the stream last night: Nintendo plan to release ANOTHER set of six figures, five of which have already been released for the Amiibo X Super Smash Bros. promotion but who’s poses will be changed thanks to the nature of the new wave.

This brand new type of Amiibo will be released for use specifically with the upcoming “Mario Party 10”, though Nintendo aren’t saying they CAN’T be used with “Smash Bros”. Mario, Yoshi, Peach, Luigi and Bowser will all be receiving new Amiibo figurines with the special addition of Toad who can be used in conjunction with the newly-released “Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker” game for the Wii U. All that’s been revealed regarding a release date is March 20th worldwide.
