Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom Announced for PS4, Dreams Do Come True

What do you get when Level-5 meets Studio Ghibli? The answer: pure magic by the name of Ni No Kuni.

Way back when, the two powerhouses teamed up for a little known Nintendo DS title, Ni No Kuni. Soon after the game was upgraded and ported to the PlayStation 3 as Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. It remains one of the finest games to ever grace the system and many JRPG fans consider it an all time great of the genre.

Fans of the game have reason to be excited because over the weekend Level-5 have announced that a sequel to the cult classic is on the way for the PlayStation 4 and it will be titled Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom.

While the first game saw you play as a child who finds himself transported to the magical world of Ni No Kuni, you now play as the prince of the kingdom in Ni No Kuni who meets a man from the real world who helps him on his quest to become king. It’s a fascinting spin on the orignal game and a fresh new direction that is sure to prove interesting.

Level-5 have released a trailer for Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom which you can see below in full English dub. I think it honestly just goes without saying at this point, but I’ll say it anyways; Level-5 really just keep hitting it out of the park. This looks like another home run for the studio that has brought us so many classic games such as Inazuma Eleven and Yo-kai Watch.
