Madman Entertainment Set To Release “Sailor Moon” In Its Entirety

Lock yourself in, reader, this is going to be a big one. Australian Anime distributing juggernaut Madman Entertainment yesterday announced that they have gotten their hands on an amazing series acquisition, one that is sure to make new and old Anime fans around the country jump for joy because not only will the newer of this Anime’s series be made available online but the original will be physically brought to local shelves. I’m of course talking about the much-loved Magical Girl Anime series “Sailor Moon”. Two hundred episodes, three feature films and a whole bunch of Anime specials will be released across the great country over the next year or so in both DVD and Blu-Ray formats in it’s original 4:3 aspect ratio.

The new release of the old series will be entirely uncut and will feature many of the things that the original dub left out or changed. All names will be the original Japanese and, in fact, the release will feature an entirely new English dub with a brand-new voice cast. If you’re too excited to contain yourself, Madman have already started streaming the first twelve episodes of the remastered “Sailor Moon” on AnimeLab which, if you don’t know, is a Madman-owned online Anime distribution site that is entirely free and features some of the greatest new and old series in true high definition. What’s even better? You can ALSO watch the new series “Sailor Moon Crystal” on AnimeLab too! Both of these are available to watch right now but there’s still some physical releases on the horizon (even for “Crystal”) so don’t fill up on lollies and cookies before dinner, if you know what I’m saying.

Madman have also stated that they plan to release a deluxe DVD and Blu-Ray pack for “Sailor Moon” that will come with a whole bunch of extras not yet detailed but you can expect to hear about them soon. “Sailor Moon” is going to hit Australia and New Zealand in a huge way once again in 2015 and it is all thanks to Madman Entertainment. Head over to AnimeLab right now to get a small taste of what is to come and prepare to relive the Magical Girl series that ends all Magic Girl series’. “Sailor Moon”, welcome back, baby!
