“Let’s Manga” Is Set For A Release In Japan Next Month

This is a video game/application that is quite close to my heart. Why? Well, half because I’ve always wanted to be a Manga/Comic Book artist and half because I don’t quite understand how something like this will work on the PlayStation Vita handheld system. Basically; “Let’s Manga” is a game/application that allows PlayStation Vita owners to create their own manga series from scratch starting from a set of blank panels and eventually leading into what I assume will be an entire volume.

That is, if you can survive the arduous task of a full-time illustrator. Granzella, a young video game developer native to Japan, announced this game a long time ago and in a month it will be released. It’s a download-only application so those of you wanting to get your hands on it will have to get it from the PlayStation Network but I’m sure you’re all fine with that. Now this November release is only for Japan but the game has already been confirmed to be heading outside of the great country, the next to be getting it being Asia.

It’s really only a matter of time before it hits local shores and you can bet your sweet ass I’ll be the first in Australia to get it! That much I promise. There’s so much I want to know about this game but all we really know right now is that it is a game where you make Manga. Simple. There are a couple of modes that have been detailed but they’re more or less the same; you’re making Manga. In the different modes, there are certain other aspects of Manga making that you can go through and develop but at the end of the day it’s still making Manga and it’s still damn awesome.

I’m so very excited for it and I don’t even know exactly what it is or how you play it or where it all goes BUT I’m curious to find out and that’s what’s going to drive me forward! Also…it’s only 400 yen in Japan. That’s super cheap. Hopefully it’ll be as cheap when localized.
