LeSean Thomas’ Cannon Busters Animation Project Finally Gets It’s First Teaser Trailer

You’ve got this guy; LeSean Thomas, and he’s been working real hard, alongside a team of talented artists, illustrators, animators, and writers to bring this Anime-esque piece of animation brilliance to life. It’s name is Cannon Busters, and if you havn’t heard of it by now, well…it’s time to start catching up. Now who the hell is LeSean Thomas? He’s this brilliant mind who has his finger in almost all facets of pop culture. A skilled animator and fantastic comic book writer/artist, it’s hard not to experience something nowadays and not have seen his work. That show; The Legend Of Korra…Mr Thomas worked on that. You’re welcome. He also worked on The Boondocks, Black Dynamite, and has even written his very own comic book series, albeit short. That comic goes by the name…Cannon Busters.

After months and months of work (probably longer), the team behind the Cannon Busters animation projection have finally delivered to the world exactly what it was asking for, after first delivering to KickStarter backers who’ve given the team the funding to be able to actually work on it. A teaser trailer for the upcoming Cannon Busters animated series has finally been released online and, although short, it is one of the downright coolest things I’ve seen in quite some time, and if you know anything about the story of the characters that populate that story, you’ll understand exactly why the teaser is as exciting as it is.

Before you head down and watch it, let me fill you in just a little bit regarding the series’ story: It revolves around a rag-tag group of outlaws, robots, mechanics, and everything in between all with the conjoint goal of finding the prince of Gearbolt; the setting of this here series. In between finding leads in regards to his location and beating antagonists who, for one reason or another, want to stand in this team’s way, this motley crew come closer together as friends as they realise that, without one another, they probably wouldn’t survive the harsh world of Gearbolt. Cannon Busters blends elements of both Japanese and Western pop culture, and makes for one hell of a wild ride, the likes of which will really shine on the silver screen as a fully fleshed-out animated series.

Now that the housekeeping is all finished, scroll down ever so slightly to where I provided the very first teaser trailer for LeShean Thomas’ Cannon Busters animated series. Enjoy!
