In the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure universe there’s this ancient technique called the Ripple that allows any master of the practice to harness the power of the sun to defeat their foes with an array of interesting and incredible weird techniques. Jonathan and Joseph Joestar both know their way around the supernatural art, as well as others like Will and Caesar Zeppeli who, unfortunately, both died for the sake of their individual Joestar family members. After a handful of story arcs, each differing greatly from the last, the world of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is re-written. No longer is there such thing as the Ripple, but there is something that supersedes it…a little technique called Spin.
You know what’s going on, right? Come on, surely you do! Bandai Namco Entertainment are super excited for their upcoming JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure title Eyes Of Heaven, and to celebrate it’s almost-release they plan on posting character-specific videos that span the game’s entire roster which, last time I checked, is at least fifty strong. The latest spotlight trailer focuses on the reincarnation of the Zeppeli’s from the original JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure universe in the world of Part VII: Steel Ball Run. A man named Gyro Zeppeli. The trailer, like the others for each of the characters introduced before him, outline exactly why you’d rather have this man on your team than as your enemy.
Not only does Gyro have mastery over the technique known as Spin, he also has incredible horse-riding prowess, and plays host to a Stand called Ball Breaker that can manipulate energy. Ball Breaker’s ability is so powerful that it can even be used on organic objects like human beings, accelerating their cells to the point of death via old age. It’s an incredible ability to half, literally, in the palm of ones hands and that, mixed with everything detailed to this point, is what makes Gyro Zeppeli one of the most formidable JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure characters around.
Don’t take my word for it though, check out the video below and see exactly why Gyro Zeppeli is the man all other men want to be. Eyes Of Heaven will be released across Japan for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on the 17th of December this year with a Western release to come some time after that…we hope.
