Group Teaser Image Released For Upcoming Digimon Adventure Season

Tai, Matt, Sora, Izzy, Mimi, Joe, T.K. and Kari. Agumon, Gabumon, Biyomon, Tentomon, Palmon, Gomamon, Patamon and Gatomon. They’re ready to return to the spotlight and when they do…it’ll be a day to remember for the rest of your lives. Originally we were introduced to these young boys and girls when they fell into a bit of trouble one year at summer camp. Thrown into the “Digital World” they quickly put their differences aside to work for the greater good but with all good comes evil, and this particular force of malevolence has worked hard to earn its title. Meeting their partner “Digimon” and growing to become best of friends, the team save the “Digital World” from impending doom and return to their “normal” lives. Well, it’s been a while now and the time has come for them to get back to what they know best. It’s time for the team to come back together for one last mission. One last battle. One last…adventure.

As many of you already know; there’s a new “Digimon Adventure” season heading our way and this time it will follow the lives of the original “Digi-Destined” but in not quite the same way as before. They’re older, wiser, full of pent up teenage angst and ready to throw down for the sake of good, once again. The official teaser site for the upcoming series gets updated once every couple of months. The last teaser image we were digitally delivered was one that simply described Tai, the leader of the “Digi-Destined”, waking up one morning for school. This new teaser image, however, features much more than just a bit of text. What you can see in the image above are the silhouettes of the original “Digi-Destined”, which tells us that they’ll all take the spotlight in this new series. In case that wasn’t already obvious. Most of all, this image is doing one thing right; it’s building up hype and as a man who’s loved “Digimon” ever since he first laid eyes on the virtual pet…I’m immeasurably excited for what’s to come. Let’s hope that’s the case for ALL “Digimon” fans.

  1. Wow, I remember this show from way back when. Thank you for highlighting this for me, something new to look forward to in the lineup! The original two seasons of Digimon (Digimon Adventure) were my favorite seasons, with some of the best characters and a really neat story without becoming too overly complex like Xros Wars and Digimon Frontier became for instance.

Dood, you’re not wrong. My favorite Digimon series is Tamers which is the third but I do have to say that the first two are still legendary. I never made it through Xross Wars, I watched about 20 eps or so but just couldnt get into it so I stopped.

      • Honestly, I couldn’t either, but at lot of that I’m going to blame on WB. Mid-season, they decide to pull the plug on the Saturday lineup, wtf? Oh well, I hear it is better and makes more sense if you watch the original Japanese version anyway, just have to track it down sometime. And yeah, Tamers was pretty cool too, but it went quickly downhill from there.

Tamers came at sa perfect time in my life between childhood and semi-teenagehood. It was dark but it was still Digimon and it was perfect.

I’ve heard the same thing about Xross Wars. Japanese is the best. I’ve even seen videos of all the leader digidestined from every generation coming together for one huge battle.

It seems damn awesome though you have to get through all the bad before you hit the good.
